It’s one of the hottest trends right now, but is it everything it’s cracked up to be?
In a word: maybe. As a Doctor, one of the things I’m constantly telling my patients to do is eat more fruits and vegetables to help decrease inflammation. Here’s the kicker though: if you’re juicing, while you might be getting a lot of the nutrients, you’re leaving behind a lot of good things (like fiber!) Also, keep in mind that if you’re using more fruits than vegetables with your juicing, it can cause blood sugar spikes.
If you’re diabetic or prediabetic, you should stay away from fruit juicing regularly.
